Penned at the reflections of Thejon the Hollow
Saloon, Old Town of Rakai
We have been accepted into the guild, and gifted a house!
For the sake of the truth, I’m disappointed with the induction. When I joined Arah’s Halls in N’thack, there was a ceremony for Nadjami to attend. Nothing more than we dozen standing before Arah’s altar and swearing our oaths. But Dja liked it, and I was glad she came.
For the house. There was vague instruction included with the housekey (not to be confused with the dead elf’s housekey from the house of the dead) and Zippi mentioned that we de facto own the house now. I chose a room early before changing my mind altogether – I like the windows in the front, and there’s space near the door for a shrine of sorts.
But adjacent is a workshop, and what look to be lumber scraps. Not enough to use, but some of my friends looked the woodshavings and my tools and all chaos broke loose. I’ll be spending time building again, it seems.
(By Thejon's truth I can’t say I’m mad about that – I miss working in Arah’s Hall, and hearing about mom’s work previous, seeing her carving and inscription. I’ll do my best to honor her, even if it means hours of toil. “Only good comes from sweat”, says Thejon)
Before I forget, I’ll jot down some figures for construction:
