14 Spring's Evening, 300 EA
I wasn't surprised that Thurgrim was reluctant to let me leave. He always said that humans weren't the same as dwarves, that I wasn't yet old enough, but Tholladur didn't have anything left it could teach me. I needed to go and find more books to read, more experiences to sate this hunger for knowledge. I was glad for his sentiment as he hugged me goodbye, but the tears that fell into his beard shook me. It wasn't like him to show that level of emotion, not that he wasn't emotional, just it was odd for a dwarf, especially one that had already sent so many children out into the world. I took the gifts and food that him and Vastraela gave me with great thanks. I would have never gotten this far without them, their love was more than I could ever show gratitude for.
I had only wandered through the Great Furnaces before I possibly stumbled upon the best thing that could happen. A small inn held the call for crafters, and I had to take it. It was an opportunity to show off my skill and learn from others, plus the Underdark was a great mystery to me that needed to be solved. That's where my life started, and I was going to get the answers I wanted from that place. All I had to do was make it to the Little Greenwood and meet up with whoever was in charge.
The warlock that awaited me was eclectic, an interesting fellow, but not as interesting as the group that was running the endeavor. A paladin of the North, a dwarf of many talents, and a former dragonborn soldier of the Underdark. It seemed that the call was put out and only the craziest answered, but that meant the ability to learn from more people. First impressions were simple, telling me who would be worth learning from, but the other two could obviously still surprise me as we made our way to the Underdark.
I was a week early, meaning I had to wait until the rest of the paladin's friends arrived before we could be bothered to head to the Underdark. It was such a drag, but I guess at this point, I can't be too picky about this expedition. It seems like my alchemical talents were in great need, so this was more than worth it for me. I was ten billion percent sure that this was exactly what I needed.
The major events and journals in Senku's history, from the beginning to today.
Day 14 in Mithril Mantle, Day 17 in the Underdark: - Received a new toy in the form of a golem to use for various jobs. - Received our shipment of books. Will begin reading as soon as possible.
11:03 pm - 09.09.2020Day 11 in Mithril Mantle, Day 14 in the Underdark: - With Lark’s help, the lighting apparatus is finished but could be better. - Odd alchemy work still happening.
06:27 pm - 21.07.2020Day 10 in Mithril Mantle, Day 13 in the Underdark: - Remaining basilisk eyes encased in glass. - Mirrors and lens made for lighting apparatus. - Other odd alchemy work finished. An impressive day's work for sure.
06:27 pm - 21.07.2020Day 9 in Mithril Mantle, Day 12 in the Underdark: - Still waiting for books, but we're getting closer. - Spent many days working on the stained glass for the storeroom. For having rudimentary tools, it turned out as well as can be expected. - Bookcase and ventilation system are finished. - A waterwheel is next. Get excited ^^
09:37 pm - 14.07.2020Day 6 in Mithril Mantle, Day 9 in the Underdark: - My order has been placed for more books. If they arrive next week, then I can begin my studies. - Active mushroom cultivation has been placed on hold while I work on the windows for the store room. - Cultivation of the rare crystals will hopefully begin soon, but more research is needed. - The dwarf agreed that the store room needed a bookcase and said bookcase will be built into the walls of the second floor. - Continue to add to list of needed books for future research.
08:07 pm - 08.06.2020Day 5 in Mithril Mantle, Day 8 in the Underdark: - The cultivation of the mushrooms has taken off nicely. Will continue to work to spread the growth across the entire river wall. - The creation of alchemist fire and acids was placed on hold. Certain party members wish for us not to spend more gold, but my list of books to send with our ranger later in the week is already created. - Hopefully I can propagate the glowing crystals that the others returned with. It may be possible in the shallows of the river or if a diversion of water was created towards one of the walls. - Must ask dwarf for bookcase. - Continue to add to list of needed books for future research.
03:20 pm - 21.05.2020Day 2 in Mithril Mantle, Day 5 in the Underdark: - The luminous mushrooms are being cultivated through my delicate work. Using a fine iron powder mixed with water, we should be able to expand the growth of these nearly exponentially within the next month. - I'm stockpiling alchemist fire and acids until I can get my hands on more books. Then I can really begin to use my alchemical skills for better things. - Must ask the dwarf for a bookcase. - I'm ten billion percent sure that there are more than the piddly ore deposits on the surface. Must explore more once early stage necessities have been fulfilled.

Family Ties
Having been adopted by a Dwarf family, Senku has a large family. The Bronzemantle Clan is the current leader of the town of Tholladur so she has a great number of ties to the important people in the village. The majority of her family is much older than her, including the other children of Thurgrim and Vastraela. A few of her distant cousins are younger, but that means little to a dwarf.
