Claey

Claey was a teenager Sable ran into as he was traveling to The Roripop Kingdom. Claey was traveling with his sister Reece. Sable hitched a ride with them; they were later attacked by Agarius Capp and his goons. Sable tried to fight Agarius off, but was ultimately defeated.

It was at first assumed Agarius made off with the children but it was later discovered that had been killed and turned into one of The Rot. The current whereabouts of Reece are still unknown.

A scar across his left cheek where he accidentally cut himself with a chakra when it bounced off a wall and came back at him.

Personal history

Claey's mother died during childbirth, and his father wasn't around much either. He was a royal guard who dedicated himself to the kingdomin order support his son, even if he didn't fully believe in its cause. When Claey was around 11, his father was sent out to The Bling Island Reserve as part of a team to help push back against The Chosen. This was one of the first major squadrons sent out to aid in defending The Reserve. Their mission was to attack the Chosen's camps closest to The Reserve. The squadron never made it back.

Claey blamed this fully on the kingdom, for they forced his father to go and fight on their behalf against his will. Claey wandered the streets for a bit, rejecting any aid the kingdom or royal guards tried to offer. He eventually fled the kingdom, hoping to find refuge somewhere else.

One day, while on a supply run, Ferrara Pan came across the young boy walking along the dirt path by himself. He was thin, dirty, and exhausted. She offered him food and reffuge, but being as stubborn as he is, Claey said nothing and continued walking. Ferrara attempted to reason with him, promising something in return if he accepted her help. Claey noticed the weapons and supplies she was carrying in the wagon and asked about them. Ferrara explained she was a blacksmith and a caretaker of an orphanage on the outskirts of the kingdom.

Claey then struck a deal with her. If she could teach him how to fight, he would accept her offer. Ferrara agreed.

Claey was Ferrara's apprentice for a while, practicing blacksmithing and fighting nearly every day. He was fueled with a vengeance to one day take down those who killed his father. Unfortunately, that dream ended when he was attacked by Agarius on that fateful night, eventually resulting in his death.

Motivation

When Claey was young, he wished to become a royal guard just like his father. He wanted to protect others and fight for a worthy cause. When he found out the kingdom's cause was less than worthy, and eventually led his father to his death, Claey's motivation changed.

Fueled by rage and vengeance, Claey swore that he would take down The Chosen, and eventually the kingdom itself, to avenge his father. [/p Then, when he came to The Roost, his motivations changed one more. He still held a deep hatred for The Chosen and the kingdom, but his initial motivation of fighting for a worthy cause and protecting others returned. He vowed to never let anything happen to the children of The Roost and that he'd protect them no matter what.

Claey shut himself off from the world after his father's death. Even after coming to The Roost, he was quiet and distant, only wanting to train with Ferrara.

Eventually, he opened up slightly, making friends with other kids. He realized he was being selfish, only caring about avenging his father and not paying any attention to those around him. He then swore to help The Roost by protecting the other children.
