The Shashan Mountains

A Vast Mountain Range in the far north of western Kashura stretching the entire length of The Yamato Region, from The Hutan Forest in the west to The Sea of Ganpung in the east. The Shashan Mountains hide countless fertile river valleys in their midst, having allowed countless disparate settlements and societies to spring up in the region. The weather here is also a lot milder than one would expect for a place so far north, no doubt because the northern flank of these mountains is much larger than the south, preventing much of the harsh winds and weather from the northern sea to blow deeper inland. The Shashan Mountains house several polities and numerous tribes, and both the flora and fauna here are just as, if not more diverse.
