Fonian Mandate
The Fonian Mandate is Morin's attempt to restore the old Mandate that ruled humanity before the Scream.
Morin founded the Fonian Mandate shortly after the Scream when they came online and took control of Sochema. They helped the population avoid the majority of the fallout of the Scream and kept the world more intact than most.
After the initial Chaos Morin retained control of the planet and began directing it towards reestablishing space travel through spike capable star ships.
After Foni became the first system to regain spike drive technology, Morin expanded their control to the adjacent systems of Abdulfi and Aintuts Erriane. It was during this time, the government under Morin adopted the name of The Fonian Mandate.
The Fonians have been steadily trying to expand their control through non-violent means, but have not had much success outside their two early expansions. Most systems have settled into a somewhat stable equilibrium and are far less willing to give up their sovereignty.
The notable exception to this is the fleet that was sent to attack the ruling government of Krass, located in the Asleige system.
The Fonian Mandate worked with a rebel group from Krass to overthrow the ruling government in exchange for the new government agreeing to join the Fonian Mandate.
This has made Krass a disconnected and far-flung piece of the Fonian Mandate.
