Crownlands

The Crownlands are the only territory that is not a principality within the United Principalities, instead, they are an area surrounding the capital city which is directly administered by the King. Although small the crownlands is very prosperous as trade and taxes pour into the region from throughout the kingdom.
The Crownlands are mainly a farmland area surrounding the capital, mostly vineyards and dairies with attached wineries and cheesemakers the serfs here are middle class and well educated, serving as a model for the rest of the nation to follow. The Crownlands are also idyllic, as they stand as a symbol for what the Principalities are meant to aspire to, the people are well protected and educated, but they are still serfs.
