The Cosmic Sea

There is a great sea of the sky that separates the planes, it is black but filled with either white light from Heaven (The Sun) or dim red light from Hell (The Moon). The cosmic sea is in many ways the domain of Fabenta, the God wanders the heavens exploring all the realms. Shooting stars are Fabenta running across the sky, the other stars are Fabenta’s angels looking down over Achnelia and guiding mortals as they travel. Except for the Gods themselves, who can freely travel about it, the Cosmic Sea behaves more like a conduit for magic portals, rather than a place you can exist within. All portals and teleportation magic is a passage through the Cosmic Sea, which seems instantaneous because the Cosmic Sea is not affected by time, it is as eternal as the Gods themselves, thus the passage of time here does not exist.
