Undead

The Undead come in several forms but can be summarized in three main types, the animated dead, soulless undead and spirits.
The animated dead are simply the corpses of the fallen that have been animated with magic, but they have no minds and no souls, they are just walking piles of meat or bone controlled like a puppet via magic, they have no will or intent, and will carry out whatever instruction was given to them until destroyed.
The soulless dead are those who possess a dead body and have retained their sapience, but they no longer have a soul, their soul resides with Hess, the God of the Dead.
Spirits are the souls of the dead but which float about untethered and have not passed into the afterlife or been claimed by a god.
