Angraal
The Shogunate of Angraal is an enormous human fiefdom in Eastern Andefeld. It is governed by a body of fuedal lords known as the Council of Dusk. The people of each of the daimyos' holds come together to elect a supreme warlord known as the Shogun, who keeps the daimyos in check and leads the shogunate's armies in wartime.
Angraal, due in part to a well-regulated but insular economy, has thrived, but remained largely free of the rampant globalization of the rest of Achosyx. Due in no small part to the sleights Angraal feels it suffered at the hands of the United Demian Protectorate during the Draconian Wars, the shogunate has firmly rejected cultural influence from the UDP and Dathone. This isolationism has led to tensions with the other nations, but ensures that the Angraali way of life, heavily steeped in ascetiscism and familial values, remains strongly foremost in their culture.
