Redstone Keep - Point of Interest

Expedition Performed on November 25th
Elemi's Report
When we arrived at the redstone keep, we encountered several Worgs in what appears to be a stable. Their owners were nowhere to be seen. When we tried to walk past the worgs, they woke up and attacked us. We quickly dispatched them and promptly moved into the castle, where we saw some creatures with green skins. I think that they were orcs. Not too long after though, most of the party got blasted with a fireball by a hobgoblin that appeared to be flying. It then covered us with fog and several more goblins appeared to ambush us. We fought, but Phillip (Timtygeg's mount) perished. After a short rest and some looting of corpses, we investigated the place, and found several items. I personally found some magical manacles in a chest, as well as a potion of healing and quarterstaff from the hobgoblin When we jumped down the well, we found two creatures fighting with each other, and when it noticed us, a giant snake seemed to come out of nowhere and attacked one of them, killing it instantly. The snake seemed to be able to use magic, going through a magic door and zapping most of us with magic. After defeating them all, and barely surviving, we got a bunch of treasure.
Onalyn's Report
We arrived at a broken down castle on top of a hill during the afternoon. There were 2 openings into the courtyard. When we arrived inside the courtyard we noticed a couple of worgs sleeping inside the stables. They were big wolf kind of creatures that seemed to be tamed to be rideable. As soon as Timtygeg went into the courtyard with his mount called Phillip... the worgs woke up and completely focussed themselves onto Phillip. We slaughtered the worgs and went over a small broken down bridge into the inner castle. At the gate were 2 orc guards. They tried to fend our party off but were heavily outmatched. When we thought everything was safe....a big fire blast hit almost everyone in the party. The big blast downed a few and instantly evaporated Phillip. The fireblast seemed to have been cast by a flying hobgoblin. The goblin was flying 30ft in the air and the party did not have a lot of ranged characters with them. After the goblin got hit by a small attack and flew 5ft higher after it got hit, Onalyn started flying up to it. When Onalyn started flying upwards, the hobgoblin suddenly casted a fog onto the rest of the party. It appeared to be a heavy ambush as multiple goblins started rushing onto the party from 2 directions. The party was boxed in and in bad shape. The party managed to take out a few goblins, but the flying hobgoblin managed to cast an icerain onto the party right before Onalyn managed to knock him out of the sky. At this time the party manages to kill all of the goblins while Onalyn dashes down to the Hobgoblin and finishes him off.
With a couple of the party being mortally injured at this point, the party decided to rest up a bit before heading on. They walked inside a small room of the castle to make sure they were out of sight of the giant bloodbath that was once a nice looking area of the teared down castle. After having rested up the party decided to look around the castle. There were some old scrolls, some crates, a staircase that lead nowhere.....and also a well. Timtygeg threw a rock inside the well which gave Elemi the idea to light a rock with magic. It appeared that the well wasn't that deep, but there was a cave connected to the bottom of the well. The party didn't completely explore the castle yet but Kazo did not care. She went down the well and picked up the rock to be a lightsource for her. In the meantime the others were exploring the rest of the castle. ST33L found a storage room with some old weapons and a chest. Inside the chest were some more old weapons....and a magic longsword. Onalyn said she had no need for the longsword as she already owned a magic longsword. She gave the sword to ST33L to decide what to do with it and walked back to the well. ST33L was not sure what to do...but since no one really cared, he took the sword. They all went down the well to follow Kazo.
The cave attached to the well was incredibly dark and made sure Kazo didn't get far ahead. Onalyn lighted up ST33L's helmet to brighten things up some more. The party found a more open area within the cave. There was a pile of bones in the corner and a small broken down camp in the other. A little bit ahead were 2 big orcs. The orcs didn't really seem pleased about something. As the party spotted a big gold pile close to the orcs...Kazo immediately went for the gold. As Kazo was filling up her pockets, a giant snakelike creature popped up and killed 1 of the orcs in a single attack. It seemed to use its eyes to put the orc into some sort of trance before it delivered its killing blow. The body was thrown into a small puddle and the snake now looks at the party. As the party immediately attacked the snake AND the orc...the snake started to bleed and vanish behind a magical appearing door. The orc manages to block and dodge most of the attacks that everyone thrown at him. He manages to hurt a few of the party pretty badly...but suddenly the snakelike creature appeared behind the party creating a giant bolt of electricity. Onalyn tries to hide at the camp from the snake but actually gets attacked by the snake. It tried to use its eyes on her, but it was of no effect. The giant orc has almost downed everyone near him as Elemi manages to get 2 of them back up. Geralt now rushes towards the snake and manages to kill it. The big orc now surrounded by people falls to the daggers of Kazo.
The party walks towards the remaining gold and grabs what they can. Among the loot was a magical shield which Elemi gave to Timtygeg. The party thinks that they took all they could and left the area to go back to their guild.
ST33L's Report
Grouped at the front of Dragon’s Wings. Expedition consists of: Elemi, Onalyn, Timtygeg, Gerald, Kazo and me. After preparations were completed, we travelled to the expedition location called Redstone Keep. Rundown castle on the outside with trees surrounding it. Went inside to find Worgs sleeping in somewhat of a stable. Worgs were tamed. Defeated the Worgs when they have woken up as we were trying to walk by them. Went deeper in the castle and met two orcs after crossing a bridge. Kazo said something in their language. The orcs apparently were not happy and charged us unexpectedly. Defeated the two orcs, we were surveying the area until a fireball blasted most of us in the courtyard. Timtygeg’s mount has been reduced to ashes, everybody but Onalyn took a heavy hit. Timtygeg had tears flowing through his eyes, is that sadness? A hobgoblin mage was flying in the sky. I tossed both of my handaxes and fell somewhere on the other side of the castle wall. I couldn’t find them before leaving. I ran behind the wall by the bridge. Fog appeared and covered our vision. Onalyn flew in the sky to confront the Hobgoblin. Many goblins appeared and attacked us from all sides. We eventually won. Looted corpses. We took a short rest. We investigated the ruins to find loot. Found weapons stache. Took an engraved longsword that Onalyn gave to me. Said it might be magical, should take to Bright or Illza. Gerald took everything else that was usable in the storeroom. We jumped down a well after Elemi made a rock shine. Too dark to see far, Onalyn casted a spell to make my helmet shine too. Wondered deeper and found two high? Orcs. Got ready to fight. Giant serpent came out from the water and killed an orc. Serpent and the orc then attacked us afterwards. Kazo was pocketing gold while we fought. Strange while enemies were attacking. Fight continued on with Kazo joining after a while, the serpent disappeared in a magic door. We focused on the lone orc. Serpent returns with a lightning attack that surprised almost all of us. Party was heavily hurt. Eventually took down the orc then the serpent right after. People went down: Elemi, Onalyn, Timtygag, Kazo and me. Everybody was able to be picked up and injuries were not lethal. Searched the area and took some gold from the pile that Kazo took from. Got some items from the orc as well. Consist of longsword and dented shield. Looking for a blacksmith for it to be fixed, if possible. Investigated the cave but found no further significance. Afterwards, we prepared to return back to the guild when everybody was ready. Everybody returned safely, but bruised, to the guild.
Gerald's Report
Gerald’s search for power had him face death multiple times. The whispers he hears have told him to embrace his heritage. He tried his best not to rely on this though because he thinks that doing so is wrong. Nevertheless, he did make use of it during a fight against a lightning breathing snake. The rest of his experienced party members took a lot of beating with the death of someone’s pet.
