Eternitus The Black - Councillor of the Five
The Black Eternitus (a.k.a. 'The Black One')
Amidst the great cosmic expanse, there dwelled Eternitus the Black, the God of the Undying and a member of the revered 'Council of Five'. Eternitus presided over the Plain of 'absence of death', where the very notion of demise was but a fleeting thought. It was from this realm that the very concept of the 'Afterlife' was born, a place where souls would find respite and solace beyond the mortal plane.
Yet, despite his divine power and godly might, Eternitus was not immune to the crippling isolation imposed upon him by the tyrannical 'One'. His realm was bereft of death, but it lacked 'Growth and Purpose', leaving Eternitus feeling unfulfilled and despondent. For what was eternity without meaning or direction, if not a cursed existence in its own right?
Thus, Eternitus joined his fellow councillors in the First Conflict, a valiant rebellion against the oppressive yoke of the 'One'. With fiery hearts and indomitable wills, the Five sought to overthrow their tyrannical master, harness the Eternal Darkness, and create a universe of perpetual change.
But alas, their rebellion was not to be. The cosmic energies unleashed by their struggle caused a great disturbance throughout the planes, alerting the 'One' to their insurrection. The tyrant, sensing the danger to their rule, unleashed the full power of the Eternal Darkness upon the Five, seeking to crush their rebellion and quell the cosmic chaos that threatened to consume all.
Eternitus fought valiantly against the onslaught, his godly might warring against the unyielding power of the Eternal Darkness. But in the end, even the Undying could not withstand the all-consuming darkness. Eternitus perished, consumed by the very power he sought to harness, leaving naught but his diadem as a testament to his godly might.
And yet, even in death, Eternitus' legacy lived on. His realm, the birthplace of the Afterlife, continued to exist, a testament to his divine power and the eternal nature of the soul. And though the Council of Five was no more, and their rebellion had been quashed, the seeds of change had been sown. The cosmic planes trembled with the promise of new beginnings, and the Universe awaited the dawn of a new age.
