The Murder of Queen Yeffeg Heyuyi
In 35043, Ngazomi asa was in chaos; King Fiyet Heyuyi had fallen ill causing the manifestation of a power vacuum. Queen Yeffeg Heyuyi, the wife of the King, was given the responsibilities of the King by her family. The House of Babaheg had a tradition of only males inheriting authority within their family, and began a plot to eliminate the Queen. The Queen and her son - Lord Unbab Gdeyaga Heyuyi were travelling in Ngazomi asa from the Royal Fortress of Heyuyi through the Hyea District in the effort to reach the Gaye District. They were both ambushed by a party of some 40 bandits; accompanied by their house guard - numbering some ten swordsmen - the soldiers made quick work of the attackers. They reached the Gaye District unharmed. The next day, they traveled back to the Fortress by passing through the Heab District. This time they were ambushed by archers and the house guard of the House of Babaheg that were disguised as bandits. The flurry of arrows took out half of the Queens guards, while also striking her son. Set upon by some thirty enemies, the Queen harnessed her magic, blocking any arrows heading towards her with her left hand, and utilising offensive magic with the other. She evaporated around two dozen of the enemies, and all the archers, but she was soon overwhelmed. Lord Unbab Gdeyaga Heyuyi, with three arrows lodged in his chest, conjured defensive magic with his left hand and drew his sword with his right. He managed to cut down ten men, but his wounds were too great and soon died on the ground. At the conclusion of the conflict, all but six bandits lay dead in the street. In the aftermath, investigations of the scene and interviews of those captured revealed a plot to kill the Queen with the backing of the House of Babaheg.Reign
An elf with a kind heart, Queen Yeffeg Heyuyi reigned alongside her husband, King Fiyet, for thousands of years.
