The Murder of Lord Byie & Lady Haifda & Death of Gdiya Gibi Heyuyi
The somber events unfolded in the year 35089 with the demise of King Fiyet Heyuyi, sending shockwaves through the serene realm of Ngazomi asa. Lord Byie, eldest son of the late king, received the fateful news while inspecting cargo in the Bidfeg ge Hida (Harbour of Hope). In a swift response, Byie, accompanied by his younger brother Gdiya Gibi, made his way to their awaiting coach, destined for the Royal Fortress of Heyuyi in the Heyuyi District of the City of Ngazomi asa, also known as the "Evening Star."
Tragedy struck when the coach deviated from its intended path, steering away from the royal guard and halting down a secluded side street near the harbor. The details of the tumultuous events within the coach remain shrouded in mystery, but the aftermath hinted at a fratricidal act. Gdiya Gibi, it seemed, turned against his own kin, fatally stabbing Lord Byie in the neck. In a desperate struggle for survival, Byie managed to inflict a grievous injury upon his brother with a side dagger. As Gdiya Gibi sought escape, the royal guards, who had pursued the coach, swiftly ended his life.
Subsequent investigations uncovered a sinister plot orchestrated by Gdiya Gibi. He had allegedly bribed the coachman to abandon the royal guards, providing him with an opportunity to carry out the malevolent act. Lord Byie, in critical condition, was rushed to the fortress, where his wife, Lady Haifda Hef, anxiously awaited. However, the tragedy did not end there.
Recognizing her husband's mortal wounds, Lady Haifda Hef, in a poignant moment, ordered all but the physician and the captain of their royal guard into the room. Shockingly, Captain of the Guard, Commander Bebde (Leaf), revealed himself as an accomplice of Gdiya Gibi. In a heinous act of betrayal, Bebde executed the physician, Lord Byie, and Lady Haifda Hef, leaving a trail of sorrow and treachery.
The Murder of Lord Yoy Gegbi
On the same fateful day as King Fiyet Heyuyi's demise, Lord Yoy Gegbi, engrossed in affairs within the Merchant District of Evening Star, was abruptly summoned by a royal guard. Unbeknownst to him, this seemingly routine summoning concealed a nefarious plan. Accompanied by only two guards, Yoy embarked on the journey to the Heyuyi District but was ambushed by the very guards who had summoned him.
In a swift confrontation, Yoy's martial prowess came to the fore. With his short-sword, he skillfully parried the initial assault, dispatching the first guard. The second guard, met with a similar fate, succumbed to Yoy's calculated strikes. In a twist of fate, Yoy spared the second guard's life, choosing instead to glean information.
The guard revealed the grim truth – Lady Haifda and Lord Byie Heyuyi had met untimely deaths. Determined to seek answers, Yoy proceeded toward the Heyuyi fortress. Regrettably, fate had other plans, as two archers perched atop the rooftops sent fatal arrows into Yoy's neck and back, sealing his tragic fate in the very streets he sought to navigate.
The Murder of Lord Hyugeb Heyuyi
Simultaneous to the demise of King Fiyet Heyuyi, Lord Hyugeb Heyuyi found himself embroiled in a sinister plot while escorting his niece, Gigaga, and her infant son, Bihu. Navigating the Customs District in Gita Momufo, they encountered a betrayal by assailants masquerading as royal guards of Evening Star.
Lord Hyugeb, a discerning elf distrustful of political tensions, opted for an escort from the House of Gegbi, led by Lord Yoy's men. In an initial skirmish, the Gegbi guards proved their mettle, fending off the attackers and facilitating Gigaga and Bihu's escape to Gita Momufo.
However, as the conspirators focused on the more politically significant Lord Hyugeb, he valiantly fought alongside his guard. Despite their resilience, overwhelming numbers ultimately led to Lord Hyugeb's demise. In the aftermath, the truth unfolded – a carefully orchestrated plan to eliminate potential heirs to the throne, leaving grief and uncertainty in its wake.
