The Elven Council of monarchs rebels against the High-King of the Elves

The Elven Council of Aristocrats consisted of the Elven monarchs that came under the High-King of the Elves.   In 28370, High-King Hia Nefe of the Exalted House of Nefe declared that royal succession among the Elven houses were to pass to only male heirs. This declaration originated with a disagreement the High-King had had with his daughter - and only child - as a means to disinherit her.   This was a serious lack of judgement by the High-King as the Council of Aristocrats was occupied by four Queens and one King:

  • Queen Byeyfi Bihe of Gueda Yaya
  • Queen Fipe Gugeni, the Queen of the Kingdom of Naniyu
  • Queen Khe Ya, the Queen of the Kingdom of il Mumu am
  • Queen Geyfeb Guda, the Queen of Hyage
  • And, King Fiyet Heyuyi, the King of Ngazomi asa (Evening Star)
In an emergency session, the Councillors met to discuss the ramifications for their Kingdoms; King Fiyet Heyuyi could relate to the issue on the grounds that his mother - Queen Byage Heyuyi - was the first monarch of his kingdom.   Initially, the Council proposed to the High-King that a simple royal edict barring his daughter from inheriting was a more rational act, and that it was politically unwise to upset the Council of Aristocrats through one action.   However, the High-King would not change his mind; this impasse resulted in the flight of the Council back to their respective Kingdoms, declaring that we were formally severing the supremacy of High-King authority within their internal Kingdoms.   The High-King refused to recognize the autonomy of the Kingdoms and declared the Council had committed conspiracy against the High-Kingdom. The High-King would declare war on those Kingdoms.
