Ordin Kell's Proposal

Ordin Kell's Proposal is a letter from Jarl Ordin Kell to Great Jarl Alshlyn I proposing peace and a marriage between the two.

Purpose

To offer peace and bring about the end of the Frost Rivers War, a war that had been raging for years with the Kell armies clearly winning.
For the offered peave Great Jarl Alshlyn I Medvidev needed to abdicate the thrown of Norveil. He also said that he would allow the remaining Medvidev's to keep their high status as Jarls through a marriage between the two.

Historical Details

Background

Jarl Ordin Kell rose in open rebellion against the Medvidevs and the Norveil crown, this began a conflict known as the Frost Rivers War. After defeating Great Jarl Hrodgier Medvidev in battle Jarl Ordin began marching on the city of Siv. The Great Jarl's sister Alshlyn I Medvidev took up the title and sent her armies out to meet the Kells. However she quickly begn losing and being pushed back toward Siv, until Jarl Ordin sent her this letter.

Ordin Kell's Proposal

Great Jarl Alshlyn I Medvidev,
You are beaten. You have lost. To continue fighting would be sending more of your armies to their deaths.
Let this end.
I offer Peace and Safety for your people. In exchange I Demand the immediate Abdication of the throne and title of Great Jarl of Norveil, which shall be passed to me.
For this I also offer that the Medvidev Family remain in high status and at Greystone Keep as Jarls through marriage to the Kell Family.
This is a generous offer, and I urge you to accept. If you do, I ask that you respond by week's end.
