Norveil
The Norveil Jarldom, or simply Norveil, is a powerful country in the far north Frost Plains region of the continent. One of the seven early kingdoms of humans.

History
Early History
The history of the Norveil Jarldom starts out as the city-state of Siv that grew and took control of more land outside the city for farming and infrustructure. The growth in power gave birth to the new Jarldom founded in 1112 by Jessic I Medvidev.
First Kingdoms
Norveil Expansion Wars
Wars of conquest conducted by Jessic I Medvidev and the Medvidev armies of Siv between 1110 and 1118. The war was faught across the Frost Plains region and cities such as Karak, Slate Sky, Reed, and Preet.
Spread Stone Plague
Started when Davin Riversalt contracted Spread Stone after he and a band of knights faught a group of Skole causing problems at a nearby mine. Davin died from his infection, but not before starting the plague that spread from Reed to Siv within a couple months. It attacked the city quickly, even infecting members of the royal family. It took another year and a half to kill off the disease spreading through the population. Total deathtoll was between the two cities was 16,000.
Frost Rivers War
Frost Rivers War is the name of the conflict between the two families of Medvidev and Kell in 1153 - 1154. It began when the Kells started taxing Siv river ships and the Great Jarl of Norveil declared the city in open rebellion. The war was first faught by Rodgier I Medvidev until his fall in the First Battle of Northflow River. His sister Alshlyn I Medvidev took up the crown and eventually finished the war with the Burning of Jardal Hall.
Slate Sky Rebellion
Rebellion of the Smoke Family in 1214 - 1215.
Battle of Raindance Wood
The Battle of Raindance Wood in 1276 was a battle between the Medvidev Family and the rebelling Smoke Family.
Second Kell Rebellion
A rebellion of the Kell Family that lasted from 1278 to 1283.
Sivien Civil War
The Sivien Civil War is the name given to the conflict between 1302 nad 1305 involving all the Great Families of the Frost Plains, namely the New Norveil Coalition comprised of the Kell family armies lead by Rast the Turncloak and the Smoke Family family armies lead by Donhiro Smoke, and the Sivien Armies made up of the Medvidev Family family armies lead by Great Jarl Wodin I, the Riversalt family armies lead by Jora Riversalt, and Rostov family armies lead by Niles Rostov. At the time, It was the largest, bloodiest war in the region to date.

Norveil, during the time of the First Kingdoms, ran north from Siv, located to the mouth of the Northrun River. And covered from the banks of the Snow Choke River in the west to out in the grass lands east of the Coldmist Forest.

- Jardal Hall - Located in Karak, the hall is a temple and headquarters of the Jarism religion.
- Halraven - Jarism temple in the Oldcity district of Siv located near the Sivien Bridge. Built in 946 by the Sivian Jarl Hilt Medvidev, a devoted jarist.

- Hrodgier Academy - Magic school located in the Axehandle district of Siv. Established in 954 by Egrit "the Matron" Kell, wife of Hilt Medvidev, after thier fourth son Hrodgier exibited magical abilities. It is the oldest school of magical learning in the northern regions.
Libraries
- Bridgett Records Hall - Library in the Ketyat Heights district of Siv established in 1043 by Bridgett the Mouse, it has since grown into the largest book and scroll repository in the north.
