Aasimar
Summoned against their will from the Realm of Light Aasimar are uncommon for a number of reasons. With the Realm of Light being a place of unquestionable good many theologians scold wizards who trap Aasimar as servants believing it to be an evil act. At the same time many find the dogmatic Aasimar perception of ‘good’ often conflicting, and undermining, their own.
Wizards are also often hesitant due to Aasimar codes of morality making them uncooperative. Bound Aasimar will often reveal any secrets their masters have to authorities or take it upon themselves to execute any evil that the wizard affiliates themselves with. More often than not they will also execute their master given the opportunity due to the perception of slavery itself as an evil act.
Aasimar are heavily divided beings who often begin their time seeking to enact good onto the world. The lack of dogmatic ‘good’ around them however begins to challenge their own ideology often leading to internal tensions that can corrupt the soul of Aasimar. As such those who have existed in the realm of balance for some time are often subject of a great internal struggle between their overwhelming sense of the ‘good’ and the mortal reality of balance. This conflict often manifests itself in their appearence as their magical nature shifts to their nature.
Basic Information
Anatomy
Aasimar are humanoid in appearance with skin tones that vary on a scale of radiant white to a darker and often smoky black. This skin tone also defines the shade of their spectral luminous wings that expand from their back at times of need but which otherwise blend into their backs elegantly.
Aasimar's most notable feature are bright white eyes from which a soft near invisible smoke rises intensifying as they reach pitched emotions. These eyes grant Aasimar darksight but also prevent them from a full range of colour perception. Many Aasimar choose to wear a strip of cloth across their eyes while travelling to appear merely as human to those they encounter. Due to their unnatural eyes this cloth only limits their vision not fully blinding them.
Genetics and Reproduction
Aasimar like the other summoned species are infertile despite possessing the reproductive organs of most mammalian mer.
