Alacorn

Alacorn exists in the forests of the Faeywild and champion’s freedom within it. He relishes in teaching Mer about consequences particularly in the shorter lived species.   His pacts are verbal contracts that he will propose intentionally vague such as to grant him the greatest degree of power to torment the recipient when his acceptable. He will however claim to wish to aid and support the patron who has summoned him claiming such kindness is his sole influencing trait. Leaving his contract is extremely difficult though he will be open to changing the terms if it increases his powers usually lying low again after the terms change to mislead the recipient. He only makes contracts with a few people at a given time and projects himself into the world around them keeping a constant watch on them. Often the contracts will all spring from a single deal with the additional pacts being far more generous and designed to maximise the suffering of the person who made the initial deal.

Personal history

Alacorn's early life was spent in the Winter Court that he was born too. Aging as Faey do at a pace dictated by their own passions and needs he became a well known site at the balls and celebrations of the court and was known for his keen eye and way with words. The Faey soon found himself in the position of Lord Inspector of Winter investigating any threats to the stability of their lands of the wilds. For much of its time this consisted of errant Faey who went too far with the punishment of a Mer or the more daring among them who sought to enhance their position in a cruel and crass manner.     When the War of Spring and Winter came however a chance emerged to change this as Alacorn discovered a coven of Hags were behind the war and had been whispering heresies into the ears of those who would listen with the intent of spreading discord and distrust. Alacorn rallied the courts of Spring and Winter to defeat the Hag infestation and restore order to the land. In the battle the Lord of the Winter Court was slain by the forces, that later became known as the Unseelie Court, leaving the position open. As thanks for his service Alacorn was given the position where he has since become a powerful figure in the wilds.
