War of Spring and Winter

One of the most famed 'wars' of the Faeywild, the War of Spring and Winter, was a near open conflict between the Winter Court and the Spring Court. Several minor skirmishes where engaged in between the courts, or more aptly by Hags pretending to be them, which nearly led to a full scale conflict between the two. 
In the events leading to the war a coven of Hags conspired to start a war across the wilds to help ascend the Baba Yaga to the Throne of the Queen of the Four Seasons. Unfortunately for the Hags there treason was discovered by a Faey named Alacorn who rallied the Spring Court and the Winter Court to defeat the Hag infestation and restore order to the land. In the battle the Lord of the Winter Court was slain by the forces, that later became known as the Unseelie Court, leaving the position open. As thanks for his service Alacorn was given the position where he has become a powerful figure in the wilds.
