Celian Civil War

The Celian Civil War was a major conflict following the assassination of Emperor Charles de la Morte. The war was fought for the throne of the Empire of Celium between the military led by Duke Pascal de la Morte, the clergy led by a changeling posing as Emperor Charles de la Morte that acted as a puppet for the Archmage of the Celian Imperial Academy of the Arcane and the nobility led by rivals of the House of de la Morte. 
The final outcome saw the Empire of Celium divided between the southern Kingdom of Avignet ruled by Gabrielle de Maisondeux and the northern Kingdom of Celium ruled by the Duke Pascal de la Morte both within the wider Karaklese Expanse.
