Destruction of Bergano
The Destruction of Bergano was a strategic move by the Grand Vizier Profundis Rax during the Great Annihilation. It was considered, alongside the flooding of the Great Forest, to be a deciding moment in Rax's eventual fall.
Summary
The Destruction occurred as the united Southern Horde and Northern Hordes of the divided Great Horde marched on the Istrian capitol of Bergano besieging and raiding the city. Traversing across the new Lake by sail the Grand Vizier Profundis Rax united with Istrian resistance forces. Realising their defeat inevatble he commanded the transformation of Bergano into a trap to be triggered by the arrival of the Horde upon which it would detonate a vast pool of with Alchemist's Fire.
The Destruction caused huge losses to the Horde who were swiftly raised by Rax a undead thralls waging war upon their former kin. The battle is bloody and cruel but results in a narrow victory for the Horde who advance on to Rolén .
