Gertruda Tolenska
The daughter of Mad Mary Tolenska and Arik Tolenskov the Barkeep Gertruda is a girl who oft dreamed of a better life than that offered in Village of Barovia. Hearing the stories of Tatyana Oskov and her rise from a peasant girl to the most desired woman in court Gertruda became obsessed that she was the next reincarnation of the fabled bride. Dying her black hair blonde in a misunderstanding of the text she fled her home to find her would be husband the Count Strahd Von Zarovich.
Strahd, amused but aware of her fabrication, granted her wish and has taken her into his court where she lives a life of hedonistic splendour. Though not yet a vampire Gertruda believes it is inevitable that her love will be made eternal. Strahd however has taken her merely as a blood tithe of the village below.
