Green Father
Green Father
The Green Father is an ancient being and one of the oldest worshiped deities. Unlike the other deities the Green Father readily appears to those who seek to contact him, though the ritual to do so is highly complex. He is recorded as a friendly deity who offers advice and wisdom to those who protect the forest and live in harmony with it. Those who champion his cause can be imbued with his power granting them kinship and power over nature.
When the Green Father is summoned he possesses shrines to him that are carved into trees depicting him as an old man with a large foliage beard. He is happy to speak to those that need and align with him. Worship of the Green Father is dated to free Gnomes during the draconic era though how they first came in touch with him is unknown.
Artifacts
Many artefacts have been ascribed to the Green Father that druids hold sacred some of which have soft connections and others more direct ties. Most common are gifts from the treants that act as the Green Father's wardens. Those most loved by the Green Father are given an elder treant sapling which wraps itself around one of a druid's limbs. Slow maturing, at which point it leaves the druid, the sapling offers wisdom and aid to the druid whilst also allowing them to transform into a treant themselves through the use of their magic.
