Joseon Order

The Joseon Order was a scholastic order based in Imūgi who were considered the most elite scholars of the kingdom. Membership of the Joseon Order was reserved to the most revered academics in the land and their resources were unlimited as was their access to the Taewang. Following the formation of the Jade Empire the Joseon Order was required to open its membership to skilled scholars from across Renmin though the Order rarely exercised this right instead choosing to favour the Imujin of its homeland.

Structure

The Joseon Order was ruled by the First Scholar who was elected within its own membership during a gathering of its membership. The First Scholar would usually elect a group of senior scholars to assist in the administration of the Order though beside this elite group most members acted with autonomy in deciding where and how to pursue their research. Each year a meeting was gathered during which the membership would put forward their discoveries and recieve funding for their efforts based on its considered value.
