Imūgi

Imūgi is one of the four kingdoms of Renmin ruled by the Taewang. Located in its south-eastern segment of the island continent Imūgi is the second largest of the regions and a land of technological discovery and progress. Imūgi is the only one of the four kingdoms with mandatory education for even its commoners who are taught literacy and numeracy from the ages of eight to twelve. Those who demonstrate academic potential are then taken to the capitol where they are given additional education until they cease to demonstrate the aptitude. If they continue to show potential however they will, on completion of their education, be inducted into the Joseon Order.
Imūgi has a fierce rivalry with its northern neighbour Wū who has a long history of raiding and robbing its people. At numerous occasions Wū has attacked before a technological development is revealed to the Jade Emperor justifying its attacks on allegations that the Imujin sought to use it to gain their independence. The inaction by the Jade Emperor has worsened this rivalry and raised discontent from within Imūgi . Kūbai also leads raids against the Imūgi but these have long been sanctioned by the Jade Emperor.
