King Barov Zarovich

Barov Zarovich was the ruler of the Kingdom of Zarosk and son of King Markos Zarovich. A ruler of the House of Zarovich he was a famed builder and steward who restored the old roads and integrated the kingdom in a manor that would last millennia. Unfortunately he is perhaps most famed for his son Count Strahd Von Zarovich who would lead to the destruction of the kingdom and the entrapment of Barovia within the fog.

Personal history

Born in Csorvan to Ingrid and Count Markos Zarovich. The prince was never a martial sort favouring exercises of the mind over the body. His tutor, Caesar Merkstein, ensured his mind did not rest teaching him matters of religion, history and strategy. Though he was trained in the sword he focussed on defensive forms able to protect him until another might come to take his place in the fray.
During the Ashen Interventions Barov was sent to travel alongside the Heroes of Borlun with his guard Ser Haverin Merkstein. He provided wisdom to the heroes but primarily learned from their actions and values slowly shaping him in the ruler he would become.
