Personal history

Caesar was born to Teremain nobles in the court of Kernzig. His father was a noble warrior and tactician while his mother was an erudite sort. Together they served the Aichele family dutifully and agreed as Caesar turned seven to wed their children with Caesar becoming the consort to the future Countess of the land.    Caesar's father eagerly sought to make his son a great warrior but gradually accepted that his skills were closer to his mother and instead moved to teach him strategy instead assuring him that 'not all leaders must be in the vanguard'. His mother was delighted at her son's scholarly tastes and offered him all manner of books and direction turning Caesar into a scholar of some renown among the local counties. When he finally defeated the castles Kamfmeister on his sixteenth name day he was named a full adult and wed to the future Countess Helga Aichele. The two were happily wed for three years but managed to sire no children despite their best efforts.    The happy union did not last however and a plague spreading through the land claimed the life of Caesar's father, wife and that of the countess of Kernzig. With his wife dead the crown passed to her younger sister Marie who was already wed leaving Caesar an unclear place in the court. Marie offered to name him an advisor to the court but there were no eligible brides for him to wed. Wishing to keep his line going Caesar began courting a nearby noblewoman, Ilse Zarovich, the sister of the count Tellin Zarovich. Tellin was delighted by the suggestion but it was insisted that Caesar move to their court and serve on his small council if they were to be wed. Leaving his home for the first time Caesar travelled to Csorvan, leaving his mother at her own request to retire in dignity among her peers, and took the position of Master of Records and Court Tutor.    Caesar took well to his new court and fell quickly in love with his new bridge who shared his passion for knowledge and the scholarly pursuits, herself favouring alchemy and the school of transmutation. The two soon had their first child a son named Ernst, after Caesar's father, and only two years after had a second child, a daughter named Clara. Alongside these developments Caesar began tutoring the young Markos Zarovich in matters of history and theology in line with the count's wishes.    As the Feast Day Massacre came Caesar was not in Csorvan having departed on a diplomatic mission to Kernzig alongside the young count. Though it had been intended for the pair to spend a month forging a new trade deal they quickly returned with fifty soldiers of Kernzig's own guard but found the battle to be over. Markos was named the new count and Caesar became an invaluable advisor, and at times regent, for the new lord.    As Markos has begun to take a more active role in the leadership of the state Caesar has shifted into the background advising when asked but allowing Markos to rule as he feels right. This has earned much gratitude from the young count who maintains a close relationship with his tutor. It was this relationship that led him to send Caesar along with Merric, Kanuna and Raz on their invasion of Solstein with the purview of both ensuring the new heroes acted righteously but also acting as his voice in the vent of any uncertainty.    While in Solstein the trio began to grow close to Caesar often naming him for their achievements earning him several new monikers among their host. Caesar's own curiosity however led him to begin speaking to the mysterious Watcher in the Woods who answered some of his held back concerns over the Lord Commander Osman's intentions and Markos' future as a count.
