Noxia

Noxia is the god of the night and patron of many thieves who also believe she controls luck. Noxia is perceived largely as a neutral figure who is seen more as a friend to Solaran, god of Light, than an enemy. The two seemingly sharing the mortal realms between them helping their inhabitants develop. Whereas Solaran however is perceived as helpful to the mortals Noxia prefers to allow them to develop themselves.   Noxia is also considered a special deity to lycanthropes who she treats as her children despite not being involved in their birth. Lycans use a different term for Noxia preferring to call her Elune and believing the moon to be her permeant physical manifestation.    Noxia is often portrayed as a shadow of a woman who can take a physical form if necessary. She has appeared before champions or those she favours before though tends not to give much aid preferring to let the night be a time when all are on equal footing.

Artifacts

Noxia has several artefacts to her name many of which grant invisibility or bring darkness to a location.

Tenets of Faith

The Prayer of Shadows As the moon rises we may no longer depend upon the sun and so we must depend upon ourselves Under the moonlight, our secrets are ours to share alone or as we decide Under the moonlight, our actions are ours to undertake alone or as we decide Under the moonlight, our lives are ours to master alone   Funeral Rights   Funerals of Noxia's followers take place at night under nothing but the night of the moon. It is not uncommon for her followers to preserve bodies until full moon for the full grace of Noxia to gaze upon them.

Holidays

Feast Day of Nox   Celebrated on the 15th of Nox the feast day is often more overlooked due to Noxia's limited worship. More commonplace in Moriliseum or among assassins, burglars and other criminals the feast day has a handful of traditions that often mark its usage in a coming of age capacity:
  • Celebrations are completed at night under the watch of Noxia
  • Those wishing to prove themselves are given a task to complete. They have until the sun rises to complete it and must do so without aid from others.
  • Criminals often leaving a single silver piece in a windowsill when the moon is highest as a payment to Noxia for her guidance and aid
