Talon

Talon is a drug made from Alazitru. It is a golden-colored biscuit intended to both dilute and increase the shelf life of the Alazitru. Despite this, they can still be quite dangerous if eaten recklessly and, like Alazitru, are addictive. The effects kick in slightly slower than raw Alazitru, but still quickly.
The effects of Talon are the same as raw Alazitru: a normal dose can cause a feeling of euphoria, dilated pupils, dulling of pain, increased libido, slightly impaired mental function, and increased appetite. Large doses can cause ecstasy, complete numbness, light sensitivity, significantly increased libido, significantly impaired mental functions, impaired muscular functions, and, if doses are administered by someone else, especially repeatedly, an increase in attraction towards that person. Extremely large doses can, among other things, cause muscles to cease functioning entirely, including important ones like the heart. In addition to these effects, alazitru can, if administered just before or during sleep, cause strange dreams, which are typically both frightening and sexual in nature. If doses are administered by another person, especially repeatedly, these dreams usually involve them.

Withdrawal symptoms of alazitru can include intense cravings, slightly darkened vision, melancholia, intermittent pain, nausea, and if doses were administered repeatedly by the same person, an intense desire to contact that person.

Manufacturing process

The process of making Talon is actually very simple. In fact, it is quite similar to some recipes for hardtack. You simply mix the ingredients, flatten the dough, cut the biscuits, and bake it, letting it cool completely afterwards before storing. Traditionally, these are cut to resemble the shape of a talon in reference to the Ravani that the Alazitru comes from, hence the name, but sometimes they are simply rectangular, especially in places where Alazitru is illegal.

Legality

Talon is illegal in almost all places in Aevorea, and those who produce and distribute it are aggressively pursued by the Templars.
