The Loosestrife

A small and fast ship, one of the newer ones made. The airship is chartered by the The East Alavor Trading Company.

Crew

Captain Alyyeth Zonras - 32 year old redhead human

Quartermaster - Tomas Wyther - middle-aged halfling

Tomas keeps track of all supplies and finances on board. His meticulous nature keeps the crew well-provisioned, and he's notorious for keeping a running tab on anything borrowed. Though practical, he's often caught humming to himself, especially while counting inventory.

Navigator - Ellianor "Ellie" Skysight - Circle of Stars Druid

Ellie is a half-elven Druid, with wild white-blonde hair adorned with small, glimmering charms and an ethereal glow that intensifies under the night sky. Guided by the constellations, she can read the stars to navigate, even when conditions are turbulent. She’s serene, introspective, and often caught talking to the skies or consulting her star maps with an air of quiet reverence. While mystical, she’s pragmatic with her work and has earned a respected position on board for her accuracy and ability to predict weather shifts. Ellie also tends to have insightful, cryptic advice for those who seek her out.

Runewright - Varek Tholane

Varek is a burly dwarf whose powerful rune work keeps the airship’s magical components functioning smoothly. Reserved and often immersed in the study of ancient glyphs, he speaks in a low, gravelly tone and has a bit of a rivalry with the carpenter over “which parts of the ship keep her truly afloat.” He spent many years apprenticed under Yorlan Omozu.

Boatswain- Liria Torvak

A tiefling with a vibrant personality, Liria is responsible for overseeing the deckhands and keeping the ship in top shape. She has a knack for leadership and is always up for a challenge. Her bright laugh is a common sound on board, and she is highly protective of her crew.

Carpenter - "Rusty" Harrigan

Rusty is a grizzled, red-bearded human with an affinity for salvaged wood and a collection of handmade charms hung from his tool belt. He’s a bit superstitious, claiming each piece he adds has “character.” Rusty and Varek have a friendly but fierce ongoing debate over the airship’s upkeep.

Medic - Trissa Yeraleth - Twilight Cleric of Selune

A soft-spoken drow with a sharp sense of humor, Trista is known for her incredible bedside manner and vast herbal knowledge. Though she appears delicate, she’s steely when it comes to patching up the crew’s injuries, and she’s quick with a smile and a story to lighten the mood during treatment.

Master Gunner- Kelzar Sonearm

Kelzar is a solidly built half-orc with a soft spot for animals and a love of machinery. His expertise with firearms and cannons is unmatched, and he takes pride in maintaining and calibrating every weapon on board. Despite his intimidating frame, he’s a gentle soul and often adopts stray birds that land on deck.

Cook - Arko Bryndal

A stout, fiery-hearted gnome, Arko is a marvel in the galley, transforming the meager supplies into hearty meals that keep morale high. He’s always experimenting with spices and is known for his peculiar “special sauces.” Though gruff, he’s well-loved by the crew and frequently tells tall tales as he cooks.

Mate - Iris Vialtra

Iris, a female brass dragonborn, balances Bryn’s impulsivity with her steady work ethic and attention to detail. Known for her open, friendly demeanor, her stories of dragonborn history often keep them enthralled during downtime.

Mate - Roland "Rook" Grayweather

Rook is a sturdy human in his late 30s with a cool demeanor, often dressed in a worn leather coat with an insignia of a rook bird pinned to the lapel. A former mercenary who left the life of constant combat, Rook is a skilled fighter but keeps his focus on his duties, occasionally filling in for Kelzar as master gunner. Rook is observant and unflappable, with a penchant for strategy games, especially chess. Though he’s new to the Loostrife, he quickly became known as a reliable and level-headed mate, someone the crew can turn to in emergencies.

Deckhand - Nix Sable

A young, scrappy tabaxi with a bit of a rebellious streak, Sable is eager to prove himself to the crew. He’s light on his feet and quick to scale the masts, though he has a habit of sticking his nose where it doesn’t belong. His pranks are a source of humor on board, as long as they don’t go too far.
