Shadow of the Raven Queen

Shadow of the Raven Queen, and the primary enforcer of Queen Dalia, Nessa Haas is a skilled warrior, working in the shadows, as her title implies, to slay the enemies of her Queen. She is one of the leaders of her people, being the commander of the Wings of Avalore, and, with the relative youth of Nessa, Queen Dalia and High Priestess Tharla Olyth, it is clear to many that the next generation of the drow in Avalencia are now the one's running the city.
Nessa is not noted as being a traditional person, likely due to her age, but holds a very traditional position, making her quite the controversial figure in Avalencia. Still, given her skill, she has enough of a fear factor attached to her to prevent those who would attempt to take her position away from her stay in their place. She is also good friends with both the Queen and the High Priestess, cementing her position, even if some of the elders call for her not to have it.

Identifying Characteristics

With long white hair, piercing amethyst eyes, and a constant, cold gaze, Lieve maintains the persona of a heartless assassin, despite her being the opposite with those she's close with. Her dark, leather armor and deep, indigo cowl emphasises her perceived persona aiding in the intimidation factor that she is required to have for her role in Avalencia.

Personal history

Nessa had quite the atypical youth for a female noble of Avalencia, following in her mother's footsteps to become the Shadow of the Raven Queen. Given her future role, she was close with the heir of the throne at the time, the (now) Queen, Dalia. Unexpectedly, she also became friends with Tharla Olyth, who, at the time, did not seem to have any hope of reaching the position that she would, given that she was only half drow. This made her a controversial figure, which only increased when Tharla was forced out of Avalencia, after her mother's death.
Despite this, Nessa would succeed her mother, doing soon after Dalia's coronation. The idea of discrimination of other races was something that irked Dalia and Nessa, since, from Dalia's perspective, it has held back her people from accepting aid when they desperately need it. From Nessa's perspective, it robbed her one of her closest friends, and she saw an opportunity to bring her back, asking Dalia to do so. After Tharla's adventures with The Gauntlet of Kitzstadt., and the avenging of the city of Thantheas, the Queen had the perfect opportunity to do so, hailing her as a hero, and allowing her to become the High Priestess.
