Beneficial Immortals

Ahura Mazda , Shepard of the Needy, Lord of Wisdom, rules over the Benefical Immortals, a pantheon of good aligned dieties, against the dark forces of Ahriman , the Destructive Spirit, and his legions of chaos. Many consider the Benfecial Immortals to be but aspects of Ahura Mazda himself, rather than their own independant dieties.Ahura Mazda and Ahriman are said my many to be siblings, locked in an eternal struggle of good vs evil. All was created by Ahura Mazda from his light, and Ahriman seeks to corrupt it with his darkness.   Humanoids are given the unique positions of having free will to chose on which side they fight. It is up to them, it is said, to cultivate and choose "good thoughts, good words, good deeds" that they will ultimately be unified again with Ahura Mazda when the End Times arrive and he finally defeats Ahriman and his forces.   Ahura Mazda first created sky, then water, earth, vegetation, animals, humanoids, and fire. After he had fashioned sky, water, and earth, and covered earth with plants and flowers, he made the Primordial Bull Gavaevodata who was so beautiful it attracted the attention of Ahriman who killed it. Ahura Mazda brought the body of the androgynous bull to the moon Washat, where it was purified and, from its purified seed, came all other animals.   Ahura Mazda then made the first human, Gayomoartan, who was also killed by Ahriman. From his purified seed came the first mortal couple – Mashya and Mashyanag – who lived in bliss until corrupted by Ahriman's lies. They then lost paradise, but their descendants inherited the gift Ahura Mazda had given them of free will and so could choose for themselves whether to follow good or embrace evil. Ahura Mazda stands for all that was ennobling and righteous and encouraged people to be the best version of themselves.
