The Uig Townhall serves as the central government and administrative offices for the town of Uig.

The Uig Townhall provides governmental and administrative services for the town of Uig, as well as court functions for some surrounding areas (including the nearby village of Idrigil).

The Uig Townhall is a post and beam construction with lathe and plaster walls.

History

As the town of Uig grew, the citizens recognized the need for a central administrative building. The resulting construction of the Townhall building (and later improvements and modifications) has served the town for 250 years.
