Ancient Temple

Architecture

The structure is a massive building of pale, ancient stone. It is square in shape and set in four distinct, stepped levels. It rises up above most of the surrounding canopy as four sets of large step climb up each side of the structure. The stone is decorated with dark-green vines which wrap around each side, showing it to be incredibly ancient.

History

The temple is an ancient, elven structure from a lost civilisation (similar to the ruins to the north). Whilst it is unclear which deity(s) it was dedicated to, the temple is very clear an old place of worship. These days, the temple is under the control of the local yuan-ti population who use it for sadistic rituals in the name of Zehir, the Cloaked Serpent.
