The Lake Tribe

Demographics

100% Firbolg.

Defences

The settlement has no formal defenses, however there is a single watchtower located at the edge of the lake.

Infrastructure

The Chief’s Hut: The largest tent in the clearing and the only one with its own fortifications. It is home to Chief and his family.   The Gathering Circle: The main social area within the tribe. It is made of three areas: the outside space where people socialize, drink, and occasionally sleep around the fire, the gathering hall, where people do the same, but inside, and the big stage which hosts performances and competitions.   The Healer’s Hut: Shaman’s old home, before he left and had to be replaced. It is the home to Sage, the new healer in the community.   The Trading Post: A large wooden structure located just off the docks. It is used as an are to buy and sell good between the other tribes when they come visit. Typically luxury and handmade good are sold here.

History

There are three firbolg settlements within The Virescent Canopy. Due to their long, oral history, it is unknown how long they have been here or where they originated from. One theory is they have a connection to the feywild, come from there once long ago before settling in the forest.   The Lake Tribe is historically the more martial of the three due to its proximity to The Ptera Hills, The Scaled Peaks and the hostile creatures which live in those areas.

Architecture

The structures within the settlement are all made from simplistic materials, hides and timber.
