Jaivanta the Eternal One
the Last God of Ancient Siduum
Jaivanta is one of the most famous of the modern Red Dragon. Most Dragon, especially reds, are hunted by the Elf as soon as they are discovered. Jaivanta has survived centuries in his domain and has seemed to revel in the fact that he is known and untouched by these attacks. This survivability is in large part due to the strength of his cult, the Cult of Eternity, who's agents themselves seek out elves to slay in their lands. There have been no accounts of elves entering and surviving Jaivanta's lands of Eshir Azzin in centuries.
Jaivanta's age is unknown. He and his cultist claim that he is eternal and has existed since the beginning of all things. Most scholars believe the dragon was born somewhere in the early Lakorthian Age. There is debate if the Jaivanta known today is even younger, having taken over for a pervious dragon. Or even a chain of such dragons, each taking control the name Jaivanta and claiming control of the Cult of Eternity. Opponents of this theory, however, point to the ego and self-glorification at the core of red dragons that would prevent them from such action. But then, perhaps this explains how Jaivanta the Eternal One has survived so many centuries in the open.
The multiple dragon theory does also explain Jaivanta's shift in personality over the ages. The Jaivanta of the Lakorthan Age was much crueler and dominating in his domain, demanding sacrifices and indifferently destroying as the mood hit him. The dragon has seemed to shift in the Novyum Age to a more indifferent master, allowing his cult to reign. Virginal sacrifices to the dragon still occur, but the mass destructions and cruelty of the past are gone. The dragon that once dominated the skies above Eshir Azzin has not been seen in a century. By all accounts from the Cultist of Eternity, he resides in his lair waiting for a time he is needed to rise and rain fire on the world once more.
