Kernosa River

the Blessed River

The Kernosa River is an intermittent waterway in the eastern Areian Peaks of Lhakamed on the major continent of Ethae. The river runs about fifty miles west out of the foothills of Pier’s Peak into the Redhand River. It originates from the Blessed Spring, a series of large spring pools that, according to local legends, has healing properties. As it leaves the mountainous foothills into the riverlands, its course divides into two streams. The locals have no name for these flows, identifying both as the Kernosa. If pressed, they will call the more northern flow the Near Kernosa and the southern flow the Far Kernosa, based on their locations in relation to the city of Tomaton.
