Oberun's Isle, known to the old world as Nur Baton, is an island in Tobia's Gulf north of the city of Tomaton on the Lhakamed coast. Largely uninhabited through the prehistory periods, the island was believed to be first colonized in the Kephic Age by the Benet civilizations, survivors of the Dragonfall event that destroyed the Areian Nations.
Since the rinse of Zalpula, Oberun's Isle has been a key strategic island in defending the Lhakamed coast for every nation that has followed. With several castles and ports being built on the island over the ages.
Despite its strategic importance and military settlements, the island's native Lhakamen inhabitants have largely lived as they have since the days of Zalpula, simple sheepherders largely ignored by and ignoring the outside world. This has changed slightly in the modern day as the islanders have allied themselves with Toemanshire.
