Oceanic Meridians

the World Divide

The oceanic meridian is an imaginary line circling the globe, that divides the planet Aldern between the the Dark Hemisphere and the the Light Hemisphere. The meridian line runs north/south halfway through the Cota Ocean and Criup Ocean between the major continents of Ethae and Dergonhad. While this line has been calculated and is used on navigational maps, it is the two oceans that are generally used to divide the hemispheres, and more to the point the major continents that dominate each.
