Rudhunn Reed

Redhand Grass

Rudhunn reed is a species of Craddle Grass. It is a grass-like flowering plant that grows in the waters along the banks of the rivers in the Areian Peaks of Tinjir, with its primary source being the Redhand River of Toemanshire. This plant grows up to 15 feet tall along the Redhand, but only 13 feet along the other rivers of the mountain range. The reed is tall, think, and green, ending at the top with a plum of umbel that end with a bright red flower.

Rudhunn reeds has been, and continues to be, used in the creation of papyrus pages. These pages are preferred by the most powerful magic-users for the creation of scrolls and spellbooks, said to be able to retain Magic far better than parchment, paper, or papyrus from other reed sources.
