Giant Crocodile

The giant crocodile is a native of the low, wetlands of Mainor. This monster of a crocodilian species has spread across Tobia's Gulf as far as the Cavean Union, causing problems for many of the locals that call the marshy lands along the gulf home. It preferred habitat is saltwater and brackish wetlands, but the creature can survive in the freshwater rivers of the Thoamaine Peninsula and attacks by these crocodiles have grown over the last decades.

The giant crocodile, as the name implies, is largest of its kind, growing up to 20-30 feet long on average, and weighing between 3,000-4,000 pounds. They can live up to 120 years.

Omnivores and opportunistic hunters, they will eat anything that comes into their territory. The apex ambush predator will wait for the prey, usually just under the water, or covered in mud and moss, springing to grapple, drown or swallow their meal whole.

Though many believe they are just larger than normal saltwater crocodiles, some believe they are creations of the Qwn’yia of Mainor. Their land of origin and the fact that the largest nesting grounds of these beast can be found in the Calibo Wetlands, near the heart of the witches' domain fuels these theories.
