Vala
Vala the Virgin
Little is known of the life of this Katilan woman outside of the legends surrounding her, despite being one of the most famous women of the most ancient world. Her name is more famous than her story. Many young women through history invoking her name as a symbol of social defiance again the norm. Her story lives on in the Book of the Valan, an Ancient Siduum text that survives to the modern day.
What is known of Vala is she, and other women of the Katilan people, began using breast coverings as a protect against male dominated society. Their view was that men should marry only one woman and treat woman as equal as was custom in cultures in the old lands of Garden. A custom the male dominated Katilan put aside to have multiple wives. When little was done to change the culture, Vala is said to have had visions and dreams leading her to a land of freedom for women kind. Journeying into the unknown the party of women, called the Valan, come upon Elder Tree Urzan and settle in the new land they call 'the Cradle', which will become known as Craddle Valley to history.
