Craddle Valley (kradel)
the Fertile Lands of Ancient Siduum
Craddle Valley is a wide land between the Cutting Mountains in the east, and the Mountains of Poe to the west. It is considered home to some of the earliest civilizations of Aldern, including Ancient Siduum. Though a much more arid land today, in the ancient world, before Dragonfall, the valley was said to be a green paradise of endless fruit and fertile soil.
Siduumites legends, especially from the Book of the Valan, give a retelling of the creation. In their mythology Elder Tree Urzan came to Craddle Valley and planted all life within the valley. There the tree lived in peace with the Fairy guardians within its branches for centuries.
The first people to arrive in Craddle Valley were Vala and her followers, women of the Katilan people from the east. Lead their by visions from Urzan, the group of women came to the land they called 'the Cradle' to live with the elder tree free of male rule.
