Kame-Kame Island
This island was once an outpost for the people of the Elderhaven Reaches, who set up shrines across it to the Four Great Spirits. It held particular significance for those who revered Genbu, the Black Turtle: an artifact capable of finding Genbu himself was secured here and watched over by his followers. The last in their line was Kameko, who was released from her centuries-long slumber by the Antiheroes.
Geography
The island is shaped somewhat like a swimming turtle, with the mountain range along the northern coast outlining the shell, the forests of the interior representing its plating, and the sandy beaches to the south signifying its fleshy head and flippers. It also contains a large lake with three major tributaries, as well as an active volcano in its center.
Fauna & Flora
The island was, until recently, home to warring tribes and cults, devoted to a different archfiends of the Abyss. Goblins of Baphomet frequently clashed with gnolls of Yeenoghu, but an unlikely victor emerged thanks to the Antiheroes' actions while on the island: the grung Mrawp, who called down the slime of Juiblex to cover the entire land mass.
