Personal history
Kameko is the daughter of Susa, one of Genbu's most devoted followers and the chosen wielder of the sacred treasures (the sword Kusanagi, the gem Magatama, and the Eight-sided Mirror). As a follower of Genbu herself, Kameko traveled through the black fog surrounding the Elderhaven Reaches to Kame-Kame Island to build a series of trials which would allow a worthy person to claim the means to travel to the Elderhaven Reaches. When her work was done, she put herself into a deep meditation to guard the black turtle's temple.
The Antiheroes awakened Kameko from a self-imposed slumber that lasted thousands of years, and she helped them in their campaign against Orochi by defending Genbu's shell against Orin and his followers.
