The party flies to Nepttin to explore the potention of a Grimore being located near the island. On the way the talk to Gilderoy - Suit of Armor about some pressing questions.

We start by reporting to Randolfo via Sending and such. We report what happened to his lamplighters and where the city is. Randolfo tells us that a white dragon has gone missing and no one has seen him in awhile.     Bobushio wants to go to Neptim. He tells us about the island and how it jumps around. They found a map that said “this is where Neptim will be when the stars are in this position.” Bobushio picked up the party after they shipwrecked, and they told him about the map. Then he swindled them out of the treasure by offering to pay them a lump sum. They got there and were there for a week. The people on the island had completely forgotten their previous lives, and the party started to forget too. The party noticed each day they would lose something, which went to the “God in the mountain.” They figured out, if Ian could cast Remove Curse, you got your memories back. In the forest, they saw all sorts of creatures, from all climes and planes. They then went to the volcano by getting the centaur monk, Cag, to take them to the God. They talked Cag into taking them to Nereza so they wouldn’t get lost. At the top of the mountain, was a caldera lake. Nereza comes and asks for tribute, and the more valuable the item, the better the chance they don’t die. Nereza had kidnapped a bunch of Bobushio’s people, and Eros, the guy on the island who had figured out how to remove the curse everyday. Nereza was a Beholder/Morkoth combination. Inside a secret cavern, they found a bunch of hidden ships. Moz befriended a fish who led them in. Ian saved the party, they saved the hostages and they found tons of treasure from ages past. After they killed Nereza, the island stopped jumping because his magic did the jumping. Gilly got her ship there.     When they returned to the island, the people there had started to remember themselves and it was blowing up the lives they had made on the island. Bobushio offers them the ships and offers to let them join the pirate nation.     Reading the chapter made Bobushio think about Nereza and how he seemed to share traits from the chapter. We decide to go to Neptim, but it will take three days or so, thus we decide to talk to Gilderoy. We relay to him all the information we have and then we can ask about what he remembers around that. Bobushio is able to tell us about Mordenkainen and the Circle of Eight; Mordie was the greatest wizard who ever lived. Hrothbert thought he could outthink Mordenkainen, which showed his hubris. M and the eight founded the Tower. We     What can you tell us about the person called White Wolf? He tells us what he knows from the books, and that is it.   What can you tell us about why the Circle of Eight disbanded? Gilderoy says it has been disputed, but he has insider information. Many people think they disbanded because they were all too powerful and had different goals and aims. What really tore them apart was that many of them got bruised egos over being duped by a little kid and they couldn’t reconcile that. And some whispered that it wasn’t the boy, but someone controlling him. And Aku defeated them and that freaked them out too. Some of them spent the rest of their lives trying to figure out how to get him back into a tree, and they couldn’t figure it out. And this might have happened in Drakenwald. There are whispers of journals they wrote that might give us more information.   Where should we look for the Circle of Eight journals? He would guess that if Aku knew where they were, he would go get them. If Aku hasn’t managed to find them yet, then they are likely lost to the world. Aku being bound to the grimoire means that whoever has it has dominion over Aku. If Ukaru has it, it would explain a lot. There’s another grimoire that made the warforged, so does Ukaru have that tome? Or does he have both or none?   How can we safely handle these grimoires when we find them? Each grimoire has its own way of being handled. The thing that is the same for all of them is you have to be able to understand the language they are written in. The key is that if you don’t understand that language, that will kill you. If you are trying to interpret or translate the language, it will kill you. The language is the same for each tome, once you unlock it.   What language is it? Gilderoy says there was a time he could remember it.   Based on what we told you about Nereza, where should we look for the grimoire? You logic that it’s on Neptim is sound.   What will make you happy? Serve my masters and give them information.   What do you WANT, though? I am at your service. I had been asleep for thousands of years when you found, so I just like being used more.   Nat 20 answer TBD
