Xan Prayerkeep
Arch-Inquisitor
Xan Prayerkeep is a noble and sharp featured high elf who notably wears a dyed red version of the inquisitor's robes to set himself apart from all other inquisitors.
He has blonde hair and an acrobatic build, he almost looks like a fencer or a duelist.
He has a scar in the centre of his forehead and is covered in abjurer's tattoos in a similar manner to Inquisitor Dairon... though he is not bald like they are.
He is the current Arch-Inquisitor for Blackstone and has made a point of advising the Blackstone elected ruler for the last few years on how to improve the inquisitor presence in the city.
Xan is an incredibly gifted mage and notably trained the Negotiators when the Inquisitors were first being established. He was the one to make the rule that an Inquisitor may learn free magic as he saw himself and other inquisitors as having a divine right to those skills.
He is deeply committed to hunting Aist Mages and relishes his role as a negotiator. Often he uses his mind reading ability to, rather than wipe memory, extract information from a subject and learn their unique skills whilst increasing his own magical power.
Of the three original Inquisitors: Whilst Nirya Moonbrook was motivated by the Hunt and Grumph was motivated by a deep and searing anger at the Dread King, Xan was motivated by control and the amassing of magical knowledge.
Persicorum have recently learned that Xan Prayerkeep has expressed an interest in the Grimoire's througout the world; including Fen's grimoire now that he is aware of it.
