The Grain Wars

Rising tensions caused by high taxation from Azzura led to The Grain Wars. Alleged Zaun rebels destroyed and created blockades on The Threaded Walkway multiple times, but were only fixed weeks later by those with deep pockets in Azzura. In response, Azzura flooded Mal'qurel with enforcers to control The Threaded Walkway until Melandra and with the support of their own Alvus Aurrelia stopped the war with their Gateways. Now that shipments have been transfered to the Gateways, The Threaded Walkway was no longer in used for trade but for travel. And Melandra recommended that all trade payment would be transferred from Azzura to the Guild to prevent another conflict much like the Grain Wars. Therefore Zaun was freed from their oppression and ended the war.
