Litenhavon

Litenhavon is a small, snowy port town with a view of Riner Is on the horizon. It is always cold; the snow never melts so close to the towering mountain. Residents are often quiet but lighten up while gathering in taverns littered throughout town. Litenhavon is the premier stop for the merchants of Fellbe, as it provides easy port access to the rest of the continent instead of the treacherous Isvey Pass.

Demographics

Litenhavon is predominately populated by humans, but a sizable amount of tabaxi call Litenhavon their home. Many tabaxi become hunters while humans tend to take over other professions. Humans run most town businesses while the tabaxi end up being the suppliers.

Government

Generally, each profession and operation is maintained by guilds. However, like other towns in the world, Litenhavon has a town representative to speak for them in all guild and Paritet matters. Representatives are elected for this position by the town residents. Litenhavon's representative is Branch Jegerre.

Industry & Trade

Hunting and fishing are the main industries and trade resources. Many families have personal gardens to help supply their own food. There is a singular General Goods store in town, but several taverns to supply work. Litenhavon's most impressive contribution to others is the occaisonal rare trophy hunt, which is presented as a gift to the capital Lyston as proof that the hunters help keep the populace safe.

Infrastructure

Litenhavon contains more taverns than it needs, yet only one store for general goods. The most profitable section of town is the Litenhavon Docks. There is a singular inn, but it provides plenty of space for travelers—mostly merchants—staying the night. Trophy hunters occasionally stop in town before setting off on their hunt. Few return.

Guilds and Factions

All guilds have a steady presence in Litenhavon.

History

No one remembers when Litenhavon was established, but it stands as a testament to the residence's resilience and dedication to continue living in such harsh conditions. Establishing a town in an area of eternal winter is no easy task.

Architecture

A combination of stone and wood is used in the construction of Litenhavon's buildings. Consistent snow piles up in street corners. Steep roofs help keep snow from settling and caving in buildings. Like all settlements in Isfeljor, engravings on doorways denote who owns the building, whether it be a family home or a business.

Geography

Litenhavon's docks are situated in the southeast section of the town. Surrounding the city on all other sides is a small forest filled with evergreen, snow-laden trees. Several miles north, the Riner Is mountains begin, with Riner Is itself looming tall and dark.

Natural Resources

Litenhavon itself lives mostly on fish and homegrown hardy vegetables. Game meat is also common, but there are no domesticated animals here.
