Radiance Station is an alien station, best described as a "drifting skyscraper" found in orbit of the star
Hepera. It forms the monastic headquarters of the
Order of Solari and belongs to
Lightwatcher.
The station itself was discovered in the
130th Cycle after scanning for grav anomalies in the system revealed its presence. The alien station seemed to have been gutted, but a thorough exploration revealed that Hiderid settlers from the
BSS Luvaluna, a ship thought lost 100 cycles prior, had docked here attempted to develop a small outpost, complete with a water recycling plant, hydroponics lab and power generation cell. By all accounts, the colony failed and the Selenia left, but the Order of Solari believed it to be a good omen and invested its energy into colonizing the station's hull.
In the
141st cycle, rogue scientist
Majorn Li built a small clinic in the growing Solari settlement. However, disagreements and the theft of alien data and artefacts led to her being removed from the station shortly thereafter.
